Playing with colours on boards inspire us to do many more. We have some collection of paintings with individual interests in Landscapes, Portraits and God. About Sriraksha Abhignan 

Personal Life & Background

Sriraksha T A was born on November 21st of 1993, in Davanagere. She is the daughter of Mr. Amarnath T.S. and Mrs. Nagarekha T.A. As her parents are originally located in Kolar, She spent her formative years and grew up in Kolar. On June 19th and 20th of 2019, she got married with Mr. Abhignan A N, and from then she became the resident of Sakleshpur. The couple is blessed with two sons, Vishnu A A(born on 26th April 2020) and Jishnu A A(born on 25th December 2022).

Art runs deep in her family; her mother Nagarekha T A, her elder sister Prathiksha Balaji, and her younger sister Harshitha T A are all artists. This creative environment nurtured her immense passion for art from early childhood, turning it into a lifelong pursuit.

 

Educational Journey

Sriraksha  completed her schooling at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kolar, from 1996 to 2009. She then pursued her Pre-University Education (PUC) at Sahyadri Pre-University College, Kolar, between 2009 and 2011. Following her school education and PUC, she pivoted into academics, earning her Engineering degree (2011–2014) and later an M.Tech degree (2015–2017) from C. Byregowda Institute of Technology (CBIT) in Thoradevandahalli, Kolar.

Sriraksha is a versatile artist skilled in various domains, including various paintings, traditional Thanjavur art, and digital photo editing. Under her art studio named Spectrum Artz, she specializes in: Traditional Paintings of Deities (Gods), Portraits & Landscapes in Mediums like Oil painting, Acrylic painting, Thanjavur painting, Fabric painting, Glass painting, Coffee painting, and Pencil sketches. 

Her artistic philosophy is simple yet profound, to immerse herself in the beauty of painting and find her true self. Her artworks are available for viewing and purchase online through her personal website and Amazon.

Sriraksha  credits her artistic growth to several prominent mentors and inspirations, including: Mrs. Geetha Lakshmi Maam (Drawing Teacher, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kolar), Mr. Ramasheshu Sir (Drawing and Bharatanatyam Master, Kolar), Mr. Prasanna Sir (Drawing Artist, KGF), Mr. Manikandan Sir (Thanjavur Artist and Trainer, Tamil Nadu), Mr. Chandrashekhar Sir (Cartooning Artist, Kolar), Mrs. Nirupama Maam(Artist, Davanagere) and many other online and offline artist friends.

 

Key Exhibitions & Milestones

• 2018 (Kolar): Conducted a solo art exhibition featuring 108 paintings of Lord Ganesha at Doomlight Circle.

• 2021 & 2026 (Bengaluru): Successfully participated in the prestigious 18th Chitra Santhe (January 3, 2021) and its online Virtual Art Gallery (January 4–31, 2026) organized by Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath.

• 2026 (Bengaluru): Displayed her works at the "Chittara-2026" visual arts festival, a group exhibition organized by the Karnataka Aryavysya Sahitya Parishat at the Venkatappa Art Gallery.

• Digital Vamshavriksha(family tree) Project (2021): Created a massive, unique digital family tree for the Rajanahalli Shivaramappa family of Davanagere. Completed in March 2021, this artwork beautifully cataloged the names and portraits of 383 family members, receiving wide acclaim for its distinctiveness.

Sriraksha ’s talent has been recognized through numerous awards from childhood to her adult years:

 

• First Prize (16th Jan 1999): Drawing competition at Chinmaya Vidyalaya.

• Participation (2001-02): Annual day art event by Sri Jayanatya Kala Academy, Kolar.

• Bala Chitrakala Patra (2002): Children's Art Competition by Lalit Kala Parishad, Visakhapatnam.

• Bala Chitra Ratna Award & Gold Medal (2003–2005): Received the Bala Chitra Ratna award twice (Dec 28, 2003, and Aug 15, 2005) and a Gold Medal (Dec 12, 2004) at the 8th International Children’s Art Competition organized by Korasala’s Wonder Art World International (Amalapuram, Hyderabad).

• "Shreshtha Kalavide" Title (12th Jan 2005): Awarded by the Chitrakala Shikshakara Sangha of Bengaluru Division , Ken Kalashale Sheshadripuram, in the 'Banna 2004' event.

• Second Prize (13th Aug 2005): Competition held at Chennaiah Rangamandira by Sajjana Seva Pratishtana, Kolar.

• She Participated in the Kala Pratibhotsava 2005-06 (07th Nov 2005) by the Department of Kannada and Samskruthi Ilake (Kolar) and the Chithra Child Art Institution (Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh) national contest(30th Nov 2007).

• CBIT College Fests (Samarpan Cultural Fest): Won Second prize in Rangoli (2013-14) and Face Painting (2015-16), and First prize in Cartooning (2015-16).

• National Online Contests: Participated in the Art Chitrakala, All India National Level Art Contest (October 16, 2020) and in Indian Art Contest (May 2, 2026).

• Exhibited Paintings in 18th Chitra Santhe (3rd Jan 2021) and participated in Online Virtual Art Gallery Chitra Santhe from 04th Jan 2026 to 31st Jan 2026 by Chithrakala Parishath, Kumarakrupa road, Bengaluru.

• Prathibha Puraskara: Honored with Prathibha Puraskar at Arkalgud (October 2, 2019) and Sakleshpur (2022) for her continuous contributions in the field of art.
